Editorial Review for Sugarcube – by Ashley Gartland
In Short
This boxy, wood framed food cart proudly displays its sweet-meets-savory menu in bright colored chalk on a blackboard out front. Lunch time dishes, such as butternut squash and apple soup sided with crusty sourdough bread, have earned an impressive noontime following, but it's the sweet treats prominently displayed on shelves that command the most attention. Consider a boozy yellow cake cupcake paired with chocolate ganache, appropriately named the Amy Winehouse. Or bust your gut with a childhood favorite such as Mom's Milk and Cookies: two chocolate chip cookies sided with a cold glass of milk.

Know Before You GoThe earlier you pop by the cart the better; everything from soups to the cleverly named cupcakes disappears quickly.

I know rating this cart with 5 stars seems a little extreme but, these cupcakes are so good! It's what I wanted the cupcakes to taste like when I saw greedy smurf eating sweets when I was a kid. They are also what I had hoped the cupcakes would taste like the first time I went to Cupcake Jones and Saint cupcake as well. The texture is rich dense and moist and the frosting is naughty. I should say though, that I am some one who prefers fudgey style brownies vs. cake style brownies, i.e... I like indulgent things. Thanks to the cute little girl with your cupcakes. I do wish you were open earlier so I could bring my coworkers cupcakes on my way to work.
